The safe operation of gas-fired equipment involves not only the inspection of the burner equipment and safety features but also the evaluation of the area where the equipment is installed. In our country, Gas Distribution Companies require a site suitability inspection for gas-fired equipment, particularly for boiler rooms and heat centers, before the initial installation.

Our company, accredited by the Turkish Accreditation Agency (TÜRKAK), conducts site suitability inspections and controls for boiler rooms and heat centers under the TS EN ISO / IEC 17020 Inspection System. These inspections and controls are carried out and reported by our experienced and specialized personnel.

How Are These Procedures Carried Out?
– For equipment used in boiler rooms and heat centers, maintenance and repair records, operating instructions and warning signs, capacity information, approved project documentation, and the presence/reporting of grounding systems are checked.
– The suitability of the boiler room and heat center layout is assessed (classification is determined based on the type of boiler operation, pressure, process fluid, and volume information), including the fire resistance of the boiler room, door suitability, wastewater drainage, ventilation, electrical installations and lighting, gas alarm devices and solenoid valve presence and operation (in gas systems), fuel storage and placement, equipment layout, presence of flammable or explosive materials around the equipment, flue gas stack, fire extinguishers, fire cabinet, and, if necessary, additional safety measures.
– The location, type, and operational status of the gas alarm device are tested, and the functionality of the gas cutoff system in emergency and exceptional situations is verified.
– The operation of the main switch outside the boiler room is checked.
– Natural and mechanical ventilation, as well as the simultaneous operation/stop of the fresh air fan and burner, are tested.
– Fire safety measures, including emergency lighting, smoke detection, and signage, are inspected.
