This test method is applied to pipes used for the protection of transmission lines in electrical and telecommunications systems. Since there is no internal pressure in the pipe through which the transmission line passes, the test assesses the pipe’s resistance to the weight it is exposed to and its durability against external impacts, as declared by the manufacturer.
