Tensile Properties Determination (TS EN ISO 6259-1/3, TS EN ISO 527-1)
This is a test method applied to thermoplastic materials. It is one of the tests required for polyethylene pipes. This test method determines the material’s percentage elongation. In addition to percentage elongation, data on Break Strength, Yield Percentage, Yield Strength, and Elastic Modulus are also obtained. For drinking and service water pipes and PE natural gas pipes used in infrastructure systems, a minimum break elongation of % ≥350 according to the standard is required.
