One of the methods used for joining pipes in infrastructure systems is the electrofusion welding technique. In electrofusion welding, the connection between the pipes is made using an electrofusion fitting. Since both the EF fitting and the pipe are used in this process, the weldability of two different materials is tested. Inadequate welds may lead to issues such as leaks or detachment from the weld in the future.
