Corrector Calibration
Type-1 electronic volume correction devices are commonly known as correctors and convert the gas volume per unit time coming from the meter into corrected volume together with temperature, pressure and compressibility conversions. This process constitutes an important stage in the billing of natural gas. Similarly, Type-2 electronic volume correction devices are commonly known as Flow Computers and convert the volume measured from the meter into corrected volume at RMS-A stations. In the corrector laboratory, in accordance with the TS EN 12405-1+A2 standard, we perform accuracy tests of electronic volume corrector devices that perform correction operations in reference conditions so that the corrected real gas volume that forms the basis for billing is calculated correctly.
We check under reference conditions whether the total error rate of correctors; pressure, temperature sensors and calculator unit exceeds the maximum error values allowed in the TS EN 12405-1+A2 standard with traceable precision calibrators."
