Hot-Tap Operation in Turkey's the Largest Geothermal Facility by UGETAM, a first in Turkey
Providing training, audit, inspection services, developing applications and projects in many areas, notably of energy industry, since establishment, our Company pioneered the industry in Turkey, once more. Using “Welding and NDT Inspection for High-Temperature Pipelines, Hot-Tap Production Methods and Installation" processes, developed as a result of meticulous R&D operations, our company completed the branching operations by applying Hot-Tapping Method on fluid pipeline working at a temperature of 185 ⁰C and having a diameter of 30 inch at “KIZILDERE 3 Geothermal Power Plant", Turkey's the largest geothermal plant with its technological infrastructure and a capacity of 165 MW), and, as a result, a great leap has been taken in order for development of the industry and continuity of energy generation.
This operation at geothermal power plant in collaboration with Zorlu Enerji and UGETAM A.Ş. prevented an energy loss of approx. 630 MW/Hour, while eliminating many potential risks in terms of OHS&E.
